Ut nomen indicat, haec valva portam oscillantem habet, quae in summo cardine munita est et aperitur dum fluidum per eam transit. Meatus lenis fluxus a valva inversa oscillante praebetur cum discus valvae in positione plene aperta est. Intra valvam, hic canalis lenis turbulentiam parvam et pressionem decrescere generat. Ut valva perfecte operetur, pressio minima semper adesse debet ad discum aperiendum. Cum fluxus fluidi invertitur, pressio et pondus medii contra discum discum in sedem impellunt, ita omnem refluxum prohibentes. Valvae inversae typice ut instrumenta salutis vel tutelae habentur.
Valvula Retractativa Classium 150-300 ex chalybe fuso est valvula retractativa ex chalybe fuso facta. Secundum classem pressionis in classes 150 et 300 dividitur. Inter eius proprietates sunt structura simplex, magnitudo parva, pondus leve, bona obturatio, et facilis operatio. Haec valvula apta est ad ambitus altae pressionis et altae temperaturae ad fluxum inversum fluidi in fistulis prohibendum. Solet adhiberi in systematibus fistularum in campis industrialibus sicut petrolei, industria chemica, et energia electrica.
Valva est quae operatione rotatoria fluxum fluidi moderatur. Solet constare ex corpore valvae, operculo valvae, disco valvae, caule valvae, et instrumento operatorio. Hoc genus valvae fluxum medii aperiendi vel claudendi per rotationem disci valvae efficit, et bonam vim obturandi habet, quae efficaciter effusionem medii impedire potest.
